Head-To-Toe Yin Yoga Practice Workshop $25 (Registration Required)

In this Yin Yoga Practice Workshop we will begin to explore the roots, lineage, and history of Yin Yoga, all while exploring the physical practice of Yin. You will be guided through a Yin asana practice that will target the entire body - Head-to-Toe - working from top of spine, down the body, ending with our toes. There will be a pranayama (breathing) practice at the start of class, and a restorative Psoas release with meditative body scan to close class. Hot stones will also be used during the workshop to compliment the more restorative postures.

Yin Yoga is a passive, yet intensive practice that is primarily floor-based, where postures are held anywhere from three to seven minutes long - in order to target the less malleable areas of the body - our bones, joints, connective tissue and fascia.

The fee is $25 per person, and may be paid the day of the workshop. Cash, checks, all major credit cards, Apple, Android and Samsung Pay accepted.

This workshop is accessible and open to all yogis of all levels and abilities.

KAH Yoga will provide all of the props - blankets, blocks, bolsters, straps - you will need, but if you have your own mat please bring it, and if you have additional props, you are welcome to bring them, too.

Space is limited, so please register in advance below to ensure that a spot for your mat is saved!

Holiday Donation Yin Yoga Class

Kelly A. Hurley Yoga will host a donation only Yin Yoga class on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 7-8:15 p.m.. All proceeds from the class will be donated to the MaxFund Wellness Center, located in Downtown Denver. MaxFund Wellness Center is a low-cost veterinary clinic that strives to provide the best preventative and acute care possible at an affordable cost for all companion animals. This non-profit organization survives on both financial and goods donations. We’ll come together to get our “Yin” on, and to hold space and energy for all the people and volunteers who work at the center saving many companion animals’ lives everyday! Any financial donation is welcome - nothing is too big or too small. Also, the Center has a “Wish List” of goods that you are more than welcome to bring and will be donated to the center, as well! The list includes: Friskies Pate, Meow Mix Toppers, tuna in water, canned chicken, paper towels, chicken baby food and canned Pedigree dog food. Many of these items can be found in bulk at both Costco and Sam’s Club. Following class, champagne, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Please RSVP for this class in advance, if possible, at kellyahurleyyoga.com/schedule.
